Since 1967, the international music industry event Midemlab has drawn a global crowd of several thousand industry insiders & innovators to Cannes, France looking for a multitude of new initiatives in the audio, entertainment and music worlds. This year, PlumResearch has been invited to present to the jury.
PlumResearch was among the exclusive group of 20 finalists chosen to present at this coveted competition, and Midemlab received more than 150 submissions from 31 countries around the world for the shortlist. The event will take place from June 3-6, 2016.
“Trade shows and conventions like Midemlab are so important to our industry because they introduce thousands of attendees to products from startups that otherwise may not have had the platform,” said company founder and CEO Łukasz Jeziorski. “We are beyond excited to be considered a finalist in this year’s Midemlab and are eager to show the world what we can do.”
The finalists were chosen by Midemlab partners Atomico, a tech venture capital firm; Bluenove, a technology and consulting company, and the leading digital strategy music industry company, Music Ally.
“At PlumResearch, we’ve worked hard to get our flagship product, Showlabs, up and running. We think we have a unique edge in the game,” Jeziorski added.
Past Midemlab winners include industry titans such as Soundcloud and Kickstarter, as well as music analytics startup Next Big Sound (acq. by Pandora) and concert ticket, merch & experiences vendor BandPage (acq. by YouTube). This year’s attendance is expected to be high, as the show welcomed 5,500 attendees in 2015.

PlumResearch will be competing in the Marketing & Data/Analytics Category of Midemlab. Other categories include Music Creation & Education, Music Discovery & Distribution and Live Music Experiences. The winners will be chosen at the four-day event in Cannes by a jury of music and tech experts including Kickstarter, Pandora, Sony Music, Deezer, Seedcamp, Google and The Next Web among others.
